  2. Pull last year’s property-tax bill. Circle the school-district lines. Notice how small $100 is next to the total.
  3. Ask the board, in writing, for the combined old-plus-new debt-service schedule and the projected interest on $317 million.
  4. Talk to two neighbors who do not already agree with you. Send the tax-claim page, not a rant.
  5. Vote. Kendall / Kane / Will County clerks list early-vote sites. Statewide: elections.il.gov.
